Who Are We?

We are a team of plastics, tooling, quality control, and CAD/CAM technicians with over 50 years of experience, Prototype Products, Inc. (PPI), has assisted its' customers in developing better products for tomorrow's markets through thermoplastic injection molding. We are well versed in over 200 engineering grade and commodity resins including high-heat, glass, mineral and talc-filled and liquid crystal polymer (LCP).

Why Are We Different?

PPI has full in-house tool making and injection molding capability from 28 ton 1/2 oz. to 450 ton 60 oz. shot capacity. Responsibility for tooling, molding, and quality control is located within one facility. PPI has complete control over all aspects of your project from start to finish. We are able to maintain full document control from the initial receipt of your CAD files through tracking of our production orders via our ISO-compliant quality control system. Our procedures are fully documented and continuously updated as we make improvements. PPI is a U.L. registered molder.

What Makes Us Better?

PPI specializes in rapid turnaround, high quality aluminum tooling. Most of our projects result in first parts within 4-6 weeks depending on part size and complexity. PPI stocks 15 different size mold base components, enabling the cavity and core work to begin immediately upon release of your project.
PPI also specializes in running aluminum tooling. Our molding technicians are experts in producing parts from our aluminum tools. PPI guarantees all tooling for a minimum of 100,000 parts. Indeed, many tools are guaranteed for the life of the customer’s product. PPI has assembled the statistical data to prove the longevity of its' tooling. Why purchase expensive long lead-time steel tooling when lower cost short lead-time aluminum tooling will fulfill your requirements?
PPI is able to serve your value-added needs such as sonic welding, pad printing, assembly, and insert molding. PPI is experienced in overmolding thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) to rigid substrates.
